Regarding the Primary Election…
I am asking for your support as I seek re-election to a second term as ‘Your County Commissioner’. It has been an honor serving you in this first term and the accomplishments have been numerous. For further information please visit my election website is TimBubb.com . As always, I can be reached by e-mail at timbubb@roadrunner.com or called at home at 740-323-3951.
In addition to asking for your support, I would also ask for your support for my fellow County Officials - Sheriff Randy Thorp and Prosecutor Ken Oswalt.
Sheriff Thorp is an outstanding law enforcement professional, and just as important, an excellent manager of the Sheriff’s Office, which is the largest of the County’s sub organizations. Sheriff Thorp is a hardworking Sheriff, and is an innovative leader! He has my vote and full support!
Prosecutor Oswalt is a 24-year veteran of the Prosecutor’s Office, and for those two decades has been the ‘go to’ prosecutor in the office for every murder trial and just about every other major case. Since replacing Bob Becker, Ken has also been remarkable in reorganizing the office, saving money, and bringing excellent management and leadership to that important organization. Ken also has my vote and full support!
In 2008 Licking County is celebrating its Bicentennial and events in March include…
Sunday, March 16th – Bicentennial Lecture at The Works – “Flint, Guns & Cigars’ – A look at Licking County’s Early Industries” by Aaron Keirns – 2:00pm…Free Event.

Buckeye Lake Sewer Plant Renovation Near Completion…
In 2006 Licking County began an U-S EPA mandated renovation and upgrade of the Buckeye Lake Regional Sewer Plant. The $10-million project, to correct overflows and add capacity, will be done next month ‘on time and within budget’. The facility serves some four-thousand customers mostly in Licking and Fairfield Counties.
As Commissioner, I am pleased the project qualified for a special community hardship financing rate of one-percent over 20-years through the Ohio EPA. This will save the users some $5-million in interest over the term of the loan.
I would recognize the Committee of community partners in the Buckeye Lake Region, the Civic Association, and our State Legislators for their support in securing the special long term financing for this important improvement.
